Toy Story Characters

This little page is made for the sole purpose of telling you who's in this movie. Of course, if you've already seen it, you should already know the characters fairly well.

Buzz Lightyear (voice of Tim Allen)

Buzz Lightyear is one of the main characters in the story. He was given to Andy as a birthday present and he immediately became his favorite toy. He is one of those toys who thinks that he's actually a real person. He's supposed to be a space ranger. He has a little spaceship that "crash landed" on this mysterious planet. In the beginning of the movie, he thinks he can really fly but later on he realizes that he can only "fall with style". He's very courageous. He's not afraid of anything, not even that mechanical spider with the doll's head that's in Sid's house.

Woody (voice of Tom Hanks)

Woody is the other main character in Toy Story. He's a cowboy with a little pull string on the back that makes him say stuff like:"You're my favorite deputy." He was liked by all the other toys, especially the slinky dog, Mr. Potato Head and, of course, Little Bo Peep. He was Andy's favorite toy until he got a Buzz Lightyear. He becomes very jealous of Buzz early on and he tries to get rid of him, but instead ends up pushing him into Stan's yard and has to go over to Stan's house to save him from a cruel death. He's not exactly brave all the time, in fact at some points in the movie, he becomes a chicken. He's also much more easier going than Buzz. He's well aware that he's a toy and likes his life.
